Online

Teatime Tutoring use Zoom and ClassIn to conduct online lessons. We have had children from as far away as Thailand, China and Singapore and some from just down the road! There are many reasons why online lessons may suit your circumstances better, either on a temporary or permanent basis.

Online lessons are engaging and fun. As usual, there is an emphasis on learning in an interactive and enjoyable way. Through the use on of online resources, interactive whiteboards, games, presentations and short videos, lessons are tailored to the needs and interests of the individual.

Students are asked to bring along a pen or pencil and some paper. Some students prefer to wear headphones to help them focus on the lesson without other distractions from around them.

Zoom/ClassIn links for the online lessons are sent in advance and are password protected. We ask that students log on a few minutes before the lesson is due to begin. A few minutes before the end of the lesson, feedback can be provided to the parent or carer, and, where requested, homework set and explained

‘My daughter started with Teatime Tutoring after the first few lockdowns to help her feel confident about being back in school. Kirsty was a delight. My daughter was 7yrs old and she absolutely loved her lessons with Kirsty. As a parent, Kirsty listened to my concerns for my daughter and established a programme of work that I felt happy about. At the end of each lesson, she also made sure she gave me an overview of what was covered and any work to complete during the week. I would absolutely recommend Kirsty to any parents looking for a tutor for your child. You won’t regret it.’ (Parent of an online student)

‘You have created such a lovely and positive learning atmosphere even online, thank you for that!’ (Parent of International School student)

‘We had faced difficulties during lockdown with his motivation and willingness to read. Working with Kirsty, initially via zoom and then face to face, his confidence and proficiency has grown and he continues to make great progress. He enjoys attending his tutoring sessions and is keen to tell us what he’s covered. Kirsty does a great job of making the sessions fun and adapts them based on his interests and provides us with regular updates on how he’s progressing. We would highly recommend Teatime Tutoring.’ (Parent of a Year 2 Child)
